It's Cristina here, and today I have some cards with tags for you. I never tend to use tags, so when I saw the challenge going on here, on the blog, I knew I had to give it a go.
Here is card #1:
I decided to go for a very colorful CAS card, and this small office tags (I had from ages ago) were perfect for it.
The tags are originally white, so I just white embossed the Lattice background over them, and then colored them using distress inks. I cut the letters using my silhouette, and the "birthday" is part of a sentiment from Hero Arts.
For my next card I wanted to make a tag bookmark, and incorporate it to a card. I'm pretty sure I saw this done on some blog before, but I can't find a link to it. Anyway, here is card #2:
The tag is actually a bookmark that slides into the card the same way it would over a page.
To make the bookmark, I used my silhouette to cut a tag shape (from Hero Arts) three times. One of the tags was a bit smaller so a border was left around it. Then I made a score line about 1/4" from the top on one of the big tags and glue that part together.
You can probably see it better with this picture:
I love how the bookmark turned out, and I will be making more of this. Here is how it actually looks as a bookmark:
So, don't forget that you still have time to play along with our challenge, and you could win a gift certificate for Simon Says Stamp!!!
Thanks for stopping by today!

I love seeing projects using tags but hardly ever use them myself! I just made a resolution to correct that fault, after seeing your brilliant examples! Thanks for the inspiration.
